M.D.
Dr. Joshua Rosenthal received his premedical training from Brandeis University, graduating magna cum laude. He obtained his medical degree, psychiatric residency and child psychiatry fellowship from the University of Maryland Medical System. He has worked for CCRA in one capacity or another since its inception and currently serves as Deputy Medical Director.
Deb Dauphinais, M.D.
Dr. Deb Dauphinais graduated summa cum laude from University of Massachusetts and completed her M.D. at Tufts University School of Medicine. She has a wealth of clinical and research experience including having served as Chief of the Schizophrenia Research Branch of the Psychopharmacology Research Program and Chief of the Women’s Mental Health Program at the National Institute of Mental Health.
Khursheed K. Khine, M.D.
Dr. Khursheed Khine graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University and stayed on there to do her M.D., which she obtained with distinction. Her involvement in research during her undergraduate and medical school years earned her the NIMH Outstanding Resident Award. After graduating medical school, she completed a three-year fellowship at the NIMH, specializing in mood disorders and neuroendocrinology.

Srirangam S. Shreeram, M.D.
Dr. Srirangam Shreeram received his psychiatric training at JIPMER Hospital in Pondicherry, India and completed his training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He is board-certified in child and adult psychiatry as well as addiction medicine.
Michael B. Knable, D.O.
Dr. Michael Knable is a consultant at CCRA. He is board certified in neurology and psychiatry. Dr. Knable was the Deputy Medical Director at the National Institute of Mental Health, Clinical Brain Disorders Branch from 1992-1998. Since 1998 he has been Medical Director of the Stanley Medical Research Institute which supports international research on schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Marc Raphaelson, M.D.
Dr. Marc Raphaelson, a seasoned principal investigator, is a highly valued collaborator for our sleep disorder studies. He is board certified in Sleep Disorders Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine and also board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He received his MD degree from University of Pennsylvania and has trained at Stanford University and NIH.

Catherine T. Tuggle, M.A.
Catherine Tuggle, Administrative Director and Chief Operating Officer, received her Master's Degrees from the University of Tennessee (1980) and The Johns Hopkins University (1984). She has 20 years of experience in administration, management and public education. She exercises oversight of all administrative, financial, and regulatory aspects of CCRA and works on research projects including new protocol development and contracting.

Larry E. Blossom, M.A.
Larry Blossom, Marketing Director and Senior Clinician, received his Master's Degree in Agency Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. He has also completed post-graduate courses at the University of Virginia, The John Hopkins University, and George Mason University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Virginia, where he has a private practice. His 25 years of experience in the mental health field makes him a superb screener, clinician and rater for clinical trials.
Abigail R. Holt, B.A.
Abigail Holt, Research Project Manager, majored in psychology at American University where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts. While attending university, she worked for several children’s advocacy groups in the area, researching and writing in support of campaigns for everything from tobacco-free kids to pediatric health care initiatives.
Holly DiFebo, B.S.
Holly DiFebo, Research Coordinator, graduated from Frostburg State University with a B.S. in Psychology. Before coming to CCRA, she was a research assistant at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, investigating health and addictive behaviors. While at UMBC she also worked for the MDQUIT (Maryland Quitting the Use and Initiation of Tobacco) Resource Center.

Ingrid H. Donato, B.S.
Triage Specialist Ingrid Donato has more than 12 years experience in the mental health field including triage work at Boston Children's Hospital, Department of Psychiatry and psychiatric research with Harvard Medical School's Mood Disorders Clinic. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut and has taken graduate coursework at Harvard University.
Lauren McChesney
Lauren McChesney, Research Assistant, received her undergraduate degree in social work from Wheelock College in Boston and is continuing her studies at The Johns Hopkins University as a graduate student in clinical community counseling. She is currently working with the team on two CCRA-initiated studies of bipolar mania and depression.
Heidy Palacios
Heidy Palacios, office manager, brings many years and types of managerial experience to CCRA. Her fluency in Spanish makes all of our patients feel at ease during their participation in our studies.
Mark Polanski, B.A.
Mark Polanski, Study Manager and Research Coordinator, earned a B.A. at the University of Connecticut. Majoring in psychology, he completed research in human perception at the Center for the Ecological Study of Perception and Action. Mark currently volunteers for RAINN as a crisis counselor.
Jose A. Soto, B.A. in Biological Sciences
Jose Soto, Senior Research Coordinator, received his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of Chicago. Since graduation in 2005, Jose has participated in the Georgetown University School of Medicine Summer Medical Institute and continued his studies at American University taking courses in molecular biology and neurobiology.

Dan Lachman
Dan Lachman, a student at Wesleyan University majoring in economics and music was a summer intern at CCRA in 2006. Dan designed a patient database for use in recruiting participants in future trials and collected and transcribed data.
Cortney Mauer
Cortney Mauer is interning at CCRA while enrolled as a graduate student in the Psychology Department at American University. She is currently working with the team on two CCRA-initiated studies: one uses a new drug to treat the symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder; the other studies the safety and efficacy of negative ions and light therapy for the treatment of Bipolar Depression.
